WBASA – PORT ADELAIDE EVENT Saturday 15th November
The Port River Dolphin Sanctuary & Shipwreck Cruise followed by lunch at the Birkenhead Tavern has been planned in place of us getting on to West Lakes. As mentioned at the last meeting at Goolwa, I am still working on getting us on to this water way and hope to make that a regular event once we get the local council onboard with us.
The trip in Port Adelaide is planned for Saturday the 15th November. We will meet at the Garden Island boat ramp for about 10:30am with the plan to all be launched by 11.ooam to cruise around Garden Island, through Angus Inlet, the ships graveyard and the Dolphin Sanctuary. We hope that the weather is friendly and we are able to see some Dolphins, but who knows, and as they suggest, Cameras & Binoculars are recommended while in the Sanctuary.
Registration is important to communicate to you any change of plans and will assist in obtaining the numbers to book for lunch at the Birkenhead Tavern, I would envisage us arriving there about 12:30-1.00pm for lunch. We can pull up on the beach area out the front reasonably easily. Please register by using the link below.
For a bit more homework, log onto the “Ships Graveyard” site below, on the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary “See and Do” site to see the number of wrecks in the graveyard.
