Goolwa General Meeting – Saturday 25th October 2025
Our next General Meeting to be held at Goolwa Hotel commencing with dinner at 6.30
Followed by our guest speaker a Goolwa local Taylor Wilkin at around 7.30. Taylor moved away for several years and lived / boated on the East Coast, he then went to Tassie to learn the shipbuilding art at Franklin.
He has worked with Jordy and now with Nick Louis. He also runs a successful tourist boat on the Huon River, similarly in Sydney and has a boat caretaking / cleaning / provisioning business in Goolwa.
It will be a very entertaining chat.
After the break we will hold our General Meeting
We will also also hold our usual Goolwa raffle. $2.00 for one ticket and $5.00 for three.

Goolwa Adventure Sunday 26th October 2025
Dear members,
Following our general meeting at the Goolwa Hotel on the evening of Saturday the 25th October we have a leisurely cruise planned for the following day.
On Sunday we will meet at the Goolwa Aquatic Club boat ramp at 10.00am, with the intention to all be launched and ready to depart by 10:30.
We will cruise over to Hindmarsh Island to the Coorong Quays marina. Here we will go through a few of the canals, looking at some of the wonderful boats that are kept here.
We will then head to the Hindmarsh Island Tavern for lunch at around 12:30 -1.00, before heading back to Goolwa later in the afternoon.
