Renmark Weekend – August 9th & 10th
For Saturday 9th
The plan is that we will meet at the Jane Eliza Boat ramp at 9am, to be launched and ready to head off by 9:30
We will take a leisurely trip up Ral-Ral creek to the Chaffey pump (this is about 14kms one way). This would be a great spot to stop for a lunch break, as we should be arriving between 12 and 12:30. We will stay for an hour and then head back the way we came. This should have us returning to the boat ramp by about 4pm.
This will give us all a chance to freshen up for Dinner at the Renmark pub
Jackson Wickham has has provided us with a lot of information about this area, and I hope that he will join us to share some of this history with us on the trip.
For those who are staying overnight you can contact the Paringa Caravan Park where Aarron Pearse has already booked, or any other venue of your choosing.
Sunday the 10th
We will meet at the Patey Drive boat ramp about 10am, for a leisurely cruise past Renmark and then back to the Renmark Club for lunch before departing home in the afternoon
In the event of poor weather we can make alternative plans to explore the wonderful sights of the Renmark township.
Our preferred communication on the water is via UHF two way radio Channel 27
