WBASA – SEPTEMBER CLASSIC BOAT WEEK

Click here to register online

Given the success of last year’s trip to the Glenelg River a few WBASA members have decided to get away again in 2025 for several days. The plan this time is to head up to Wentworth, NSW, at the confluence of the Murray and Darling Rivers.

So, why not put the date in your diary for our September Classic Boat week. The dates are Monday the 15th of September until Friday the 19th. The idea is to do 3 day trips on the water;

1. Downstream on the Murray through Lock 10 to possibly explore the Darling River anabranch

2. Up the Darling to experience the difference between two rivers, and

3. Upstream on the Murray towards Curlwaa.

We will also see if Victorian, NSW and the local river boaties may like to join in.

This will be an ideal get away week for people with trailerable boats. Wentworth is a very comfortable 5 hours from Adelaide and the waterways are quiet with fantastic scenery / wildlife.

It is a popular destination so the the early notice is for those interested to organise their diary, travel plans and accommodation.

The Twin Rivers Motel was very handy for WBASA members who travelled to the Junction Rally in 2024 and the local Council has just fully redeveloped the Caravan Park which is expected to open in the near future.

If you are interested please let Allan Durden (kmaard@gmail.com) or Stephen Conway (editor@wbasa.au) know.
