WBASA – FEBRUARY 2025 CLASSIC BOAT DAY

The February Classic Boat Day is to be on Thursday the 20th and will be mainly for trailerable boats,

Larger boats are welcome to join as well. It will be a River Murray event from Mannum to Caloote and return.

If you are going to participate please contact him asap to let him know  in case we have any change to the event.

The plan is to be at the Mannum Boat Ramp on Polack St off River Lane, at around 9.30am for launching and then be under way at around 10.00am and head downstream to Caloote.

Rob will keep an eye on the weather forecast and keep hose people who have registered  an interest to attend informed of any changes to the program the day prior.

The intention is to have a picnic lunch at the shelter at Caloote. There are also public toilets at this location.

Please bring along all your catering needs as there is no shop at Caloote.

Be mindful of new life jacket / PDF requirements now enforced by Marine Safety.

A two way radio is also helpful at these events, UHF preferred on channel 27.

Classic Boat Days are a great way to get your boat wet, enjoy the company of like minded boaties and chill out. Make sure you note the dates in your WBASA calendar and get along. They also a great way to test your boat out, get some advice about anything you need and of course check out the other boats. Support to launch and retrieve your boat, getting a tow if needed (yes, boats do breakdown) and, best of all the opportunity to get your boat’s photo in the WBASA calendar are all good reasons to join in!
