WBASA Gathering at Coorong Quays, Hindmarsh Island.
December 20th at 6.00pm.
This pre-Christmas event at Goolwa is not in your WBASA calendar and is not a specific WBASA event. However, a few members think it is a great opportunity to catch up, have a BYO BBQ and drink (for the non-skippers of course) and then get out on the water to fly our WBASA burgees just before Christmas.
It promises to be a classic boat night, a first!
We won’t ask people to do a WBASA registration given that all boats have to register
(as below) anyway with the pageant organisers, but we would appreciate you
RSVP’ing to Stephen Conway at editor@wbasa.au if you intend to participate.
For those who don’t have a boat available please let Stephen know and he will get you passage on someone else’s boat for the cruise.
For those who will attend we will gather at the Coorong Quays BBQ area, just behind their boat ramp at around 5.30 pm – 6.00pm. Enjoy a nice social BBQ, (BYO) and either board or launch our, suitably lit up and all Christmassy, boats at 8pm and travel over to the starting point. This will be alongside the Bombora Café, the flotilla
will then proceed to cruise pass the wharf and then under the bridge behind the PS Oscar W.

The Goolwa pageant committee are calling on all boat lovers, community members, and festive spirits to help launch our inaugural brand-new tradition in Goolwa. Decorate your boat, light up the river with lights and lanterns, and celebrate the season in true coastal style.
Let’s make this first-ever Christmas Flotilla a magical night to remember!
