WBASA – MARCH 19th  2026   CLASSIC BOAT DAY

Our March Classic Boat Day based at the Caurnamont Boat Ramp.

If you are joining us please register online so the Event Manager can keep you updated with any last minute changes.

This March Classic Boat Day is on Thursday the 19th and will suit all boats large and small.

The plan is to be at the Caurnamont Boat Ramp from 9.30am for launching and then all be under way at 10.30am and head downstream to Bowhill for Lunch.
Caurnamont boat
ramp does not have any jetty or pontoon to assist with launch and recovery of your boat, but there will be addition hands there to help you if required.
Plenty of car and trailer parking area with toilets on site, no shop at this location, pickup supplies at Mannum if required.

This is a particularly good event for those who don’t have access to a boat and who would like to travel with somebody else, or just join us for lunch at the Bowhill General Store Cafe.
We will cruise from the Caurnamont Boat Ramp heading downstream for approx 8kms to Bowhill, here we will tie up at the wharf for lunch at the Cafe, booking will be made for 12.30pm.
After a nice relaxing Lunch over looking the Murray River and then at approx 2.30pm we will head back upstream to Caurnamont, arriving at approx 3.30pm.
After retrieving all boats and a quick debrief of the days activities, we could be heading home just after 4.00pm.

If you are going to participate please register online asap to let the event manager you joining us for this event.
The Event Manager will also keep an eye on the weather forecast and keep those people who have registered to attend and inform you of any changes to the program the day prior.

Be mindful of new life jacket / PDF requirements now enforced by Marine Safety.

A two way radio is very helpful at these events, the WBASA preferred UHF channel is 27.

These Classic Boat Days are a great way to get your boat wet, enjoy the company of like minded boaties and chill out. Make sure you note the dates in your WBASA calendar and get along. They also a great way to test your boat out, get some advice about anything you need and of course check out the other boats. Support to launch and retrieve your boat, getting a tow if needed (yes, boats do breakdown) and best of all the opportunity to get your boat’s photo in the WBASA calendar are all good reasons to join in!
