PUTT-PUTT on the Torrens Saturday Sept 6th
This will be a great opportunity for those with trailer boats or canoes (or other wooden floating devices) to have a nice day relaxing in the city
We will have access to the Pinky Flat boat ramp. We can leave our trailers on the adjacent parklands (on the sealed driveway), and it seem likely we can leave our cars there as well.
Arrive at Pinky Flat from 10.30m onwards and launch your boat. Will set up a picnic area nearby on the bank (this will be further East of Pinky Flat, as council have just re-turfed the area. On the Eastern Side of King William Road is the location I have selected, pending council final approval). The day is then yours, cruising down to the weir or up to the Hackney Bridge (depending on your draft).
Meet for lunch at 12.30, please bring your own provisions. We must have our boats back on trailers and out by 4.30.
Council requires public liability insurance. The land environment will be covered by our brokers Websters, but we will require evidence of your boat’s public liability insurance before the event.
So please register as soon as you can
Details of your car and trailer registration numbers will also be required this year.
Registration is therefore critical for this event for both parking and boat usage for us to convey to council
